Companies and public sector entities that are not research organisations can apply.
The objective is to encourage value creation and renewal in the business and public sectors. Innovation Projects are to help enhance competitiveness in new and existing business areas, strengthen the restructuring capacity of the Norwegian economy and the public sector, and increase interaction and knowledge transfer across stakeholders.
The purpose of the Public Sector PhD Scheme is to strengthen research-based innovation and contribute to long-term competence-building in the public sector through the recruitment of doctoral candidates in public agencies. The projects must be based on needs and challenges and be included in the public agency's plans for development.
The purpose of the Industrial PhD scheme is to strengthen research-based innovation and contribute to long-term competence building in Norwegian business and industry through the recruitment of doctoral candidates in companies.
